Mark has tried fifty eight (58) civil jury trials to verdict in eight counties during his thirty plus years as a lawyer including one where he obtained a judgment in excess of $500,000 for a client in Los Angeles County Superior Court following an eight day jury trial in a same sex harassment discrimination case against the law firm Proskauer Rose LLP, one of the U.S.’s 50 largest law firms.
In a 2006 case in a San Joaquin County Superior Court case entitled the Chargin v. Stockton Port District. Mr. Adams was hired by the Port Commission as trial counsel in what turned out to be a three month jury trial involving nineteen plaintiffs who claimed 7.5 million dollars in damages resulting from the Port’s alleged maintenance of a nuisance. The jury returned 38 defense verdicts on behalf of Mr. Adams’ client.
Mr. Adams again represented the Stockton Port District in Federal District Court in Sacramento and obtained a $600,000 settlement against one of the Port’s insurance carriers, CNA, who denied a covered claim.
In 2018, he settled an age discrimination case for $39,500 against a large national retailer.
In 2018, he settled an age discrimination case for $200,000 against a large Ag equipment dealer.
In 2018, he settled an accident case for $100,000.
In 2017, he settled a sex harassment case for $50,000 for a woman against an outdoor furniture manufacturer in Orange County.
In 2017, he settled a wage/hour dispute against a car wash for $65,000 in San Joaquin County.
In 2017, he settled a wage hour dispute for $42,500 on behalf of a woman against a larger retail distribution center.
In 2017, he settled a case against an insurance company for the Policy Limit of $250,000 for a man struck by a truck in a parking lot aggravating his depression and fibromyalgia.
In 2017, he settled case against a local public entity in Stanislaus County for pregnancy discrimination for $75,000.
In 2016, he settled a case for $160,000 against a school district in Stanislaus County for sexual orientation discrimination.
In 2016, he settled a case of disability discrimination for $20,000 against a Charter School in Los Angeles.
In 2016, he settled a disability discrimination case against a large food distributor in San Francisco for $75,000.
In 2015, he settled an age discrimination case for $100,000 against a large insurance company in Riverside County.
In 2011, he settled an age discrimination case against a construction materials supplier for $1,250,000 in Sacramento County.
In 2011, Mr. Adams obtained a $225,000 settlement of a sex harassment case against a fire district chief on behalf of three female firefighters.
